New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday led the Cabinet Committee meeting on Security (CCS) and instructed all relevant officials to do all the necessary steps to ensure the evacuation of Indians who were safe from Afghanistan in the coming days.
According to a senior official who benefited the trial, the Prime Minister said, “India not only has to protect our citizens, but we also have to protect the minorities of Sikh and Hindu who want to come to India, and we also have to provide everything possible Help our brother and sister Afghanistan who looked at India for help “.
The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Interior Minister Amit Shah, and Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman.
Minister of external affairs is abroad and therefore does not attend the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials including the main secretary of PM PK Mishra, NSA Ajit Doval and Cabinet Secretary Rajeev Gauba.
The Secretary of Foreign Affairs Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan Rudrendra Tandon also attended the meeting.
Tandon Ambassador is on a flight of evacuation from Kabul who landed in Jamnagar today.
According to senior government sources, the Cabinet Committee about the security complained in detail about the current and developing and political situation in Afghanistan.
CCS was also briefed on recent evacuations from Indian Embassy officials and several members of the Indian community, as well as several members of the Indian media.
The Taliban entered Kabul on Sunday and took control of the Presidential Palace.
