Make sure the ban on liquor by iron hands: nitish to the official

Patna: Highly hurt by the death of around 60 people in a series of Hooch tragedies in the last two weeks, CM Nith Kumar on Tuesday asked senior officers to take the heaviest and rigorous actions against government officials and employees involved in making mistakes in making mistakes for problems .
Chairing a marathon meeting for seven hours to review irregularities in enforcing a ban on liquor in the state, Nitish issued several instructions to plug in the gap in the system and told the officials that he would not tolerate all kinds of negligence in state registration.
“Anyone who has been given the responsibility to enforce a ban on liquor must work with full alertness and full dedication not to allow smuggling of liquor or consumption,” Nitish said.
If the police team from the state headquarters restored prohibited liquor from the location, Sho from the police station concerned will be suspended and the responsibility of senior officers must also be repaired, Nitish ordered.
CM said the Minister and Secretary were responsible for a district to visit their regions given at least once a month and review the enforcement of liquor along with work development.
He also asked officials to identify the route of smuggling liquor and maintained a special vigil along the boundaries between countries.
Nitish was also ordered to launch a fresh drive to make people aware of the adverse effects of consumption of liquor.
He asked officials to spread the view of Mahatma Gandhi about the ban.
Both Deputy CMS, 24 ministers of cabinets and all the top bureaucrats attended the meeting.
While giving media direction about the meeting, Chaitanya Prasad’s additional school (home) said CM had ordered to maintain a special vigil in Uttar Pradesh and Bengal Bengal to examine the entry of liquor from other states.
“CM also asks for sealing borders to check the entry of illegal liquor,” said Prasad.
DGP Singhal SK said CM emphasized the strengthening of the intelligence tissue.
He said if Sho was found involved in manufacturing liquor or smuggling, he would not be posted as a sho for the next 10 years.
He said so far 206 police officers had been dismissed from services for their involvement in problems related to liquor.
