Thiruvananthapuram: The school in the state is ready to be reopened on November 1 for classes from I to VII and X and XII with Covid safety guidelines on the spot, Health Minister Veena George said on Saturday.
He urged parents and teachers to strictly ensure that the guidelines incurred by the authorities in front of the reopening were followed.
Teachers, in the early days, must educate children about Covid-19 and also about various ways it can spread, said the Minister, adding that detailed guidelines have been sent to all schools.
The mandatory mask in the classroom and children must wear it when they leave their homes.
He warned of children gathered together during the interval and said the teacher had to take extra precautions.
Physical pause actions must be strictly followed during lunch time.
All practical classes must be done only in small groups.
Equipment must be properly dissed after each use.
If there are symptoms detected in each student or teacher, it must be immediately reported to the nearest health center.
Children also have to take a shower immediately after returning home before hanging out with family members.
