Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday conducted an affected area air survey of rain in seven North Bihar regencies to assess damage caused by heavy and excessive rain in the past few days.
Immediately after returning from the air survey, Nitish held a meeting with senior officials of the Disaster Management Department (DMD), Department of Water Resources (WRD) and DMS 11 districts affected by rain to review the situation in the affected areas of the rain.
The meeting was held in the Hall of CM ‘Sankalp’.
After reviewing the entire scenario, CM asks DM to ensure immediate assistance and other assistance to people who live in the affected areas of rain in 11 districts, Nawada, Nalanda, Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, West, West, West Champaran Gopalganj and suggestions.
“We must provide assistance needed to all the affected persons.
You must ensure that no one is left,” he told DMS.
Nitish then asks all 11 DM to make the right assessment of the damaged crops by excessive rain recently and submit a report to the government within three days.
“Also make an assessment of plants like that where Sidling cannot be planted due to puddles caused by excessive rain,” he asked DM.
CM further suggests DM to ensure sustainable communication with excessive rainy people, and also pay attention to the suggestions provided by them.
“We must help all the families / people affected by all sensitivity,” Nitish told DMS who attended a review meeting through video conferencing.
Nitish also asked officials to ensure immediate improvement from all roads and culverts were damaged by flood water.
He asked DMD officials to ensure the actual direct distribution of relief funds (GR) among the remaining flood-affected families.
Previously, Secretary of DMD Sanjay Kumar Agarwal told CM about the work of assistance carried out in the affected area of rain.
WRD Secretary Sanjeev Hans provides detailed information about the current status of water levels in different rivers and flood protection works run in various parts of the country.
