Lucknow: Head of the Yogi Adityanath Minister on Tuesday said that the state government would not tolerate negligence in the procurement of rice in the ongoing season.
Maintaining a review meeting, Yogi says that the instructions for procurement of rice with complete transparency need to be ensured on all purchase centers.
The attitude of the Yogi toughened vis-a-vis acquisition of rice efficiently comes a day after Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) raises bets to demand law guarantees in the procurement of plants in MSP.
CM directs officials to ensure the rice purchase center operates on time.
“Farmers must be paid for their results within 72 hours,” he said, reiterating that in the procurement of rice 2021-22, many innovative initiatives had been taken for the convenience of farmers.
CM said that all DMS needs to examine the purchase center in their district and ensure the smooth operation of rice procurement.
He also suppressed the needs of officials to establish dialogue with farmers and obtain feedback on procurement exercises.
Yogi said that the intensive monitoring of the process of procurement of rice must be carried out by senior officers at the government level.
The state government has increased rice procurement centers from 4,231 by 2020 to 4,370 this year.
Officials said so far 7.52 lakh metric tons of rice worth 1,461 crore and 9 lakh has gained.
“In the year of procurement of 2021-22, many new efforts have been made to provide maximum benefits for farmers.
For the first time in the state of this year, rice is obtained from farmers through Aadhaar authentication through an e-pop device,” said a spokesman for the state government part.
Also, rice prices are paid in bank aadharlinked farmers’ accounts.
The whole process of online registration and verification of rice plants has been made online.
