Thiruvananthapuram: The center has asked all states, including Kerala, to strictly ensure that everyone who holds more than two firearms must be asked to deposit the third with the authorities, which will then be delicensed.

The government has changed the arms law, 1959, to limit the number of firearms which can be owned by individuals into two.

Although the country only has 112 citizens who have three firearms, some states, especially in the north, have a large number of licenses holding three firearms.
Among America, Punjab (6,973), Uttar Pradesh (3,945), Haryana (2,524), Madhya Pradesh (1,010), Rajasthan (973) and Delhi (927) have the highest number of licenses.
At the same time, among southern countries, Karnataka (529) has the highest number.
