Patna: JD (U) National President Rajiv Ranjn Singh aka Lalan Singh on Thursday Opposition Chairperson at the Tejashwi Prasad Yadav State Assembly to include the removal of the ban in the RJD election manifesto.
Reacting against Tejashwi’s charges against the state government, Singh, “if Tejashwi is very vocal about the prohibition in the state, he must include the removal of the ban in his party’s election manifesto.” But Muler MP, however, confirms that the prohibition will continue in the state.
“The government is serious about the effective implementation of the legal prohibition in Bihar.
Adequate steps are being taken for this purpose,” he added.
Referring to the opposition statement of the appointment of the KK Senior IAS officer Pathak as an additional head secretary in the Department of Prohibition, Excise and Registration, National Chief JD (U), “This is the prerogative right of the state government to appoint officials.
Will the state government now seek advice from Tejashwi before posting officers? This is none of his business.
“He clarified that Pathak was posted as an excise commissioner when a draft for a ban in the country was prepared in 2016.
Tejashwi previously accused that the smuggling of liquor continued in dry state with the support of tacit from senior officials of the state government.
He also accused that the purpose of the ban had been defeated by bootleging that had not yet taken place.
Meanwhile, HAM led by former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi has decided to hold a meeting of the next National Work Committee in Valmyanagar in the West Champaran on December 16 to discuss various problems, including the implementation of an effective prohibition in the state.
