New Delhi: Delhi Government is likely to declare malaria diseases that can be informed.
When a disease is declared to be notified, it is required by the law to report each case to the government.
Collection of information by the authorities helps in monitoring better diseases and gives early warning about possible outbreaks.
In a video conference meeting held by Health Minister Union Dr.
Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday, where Minister of Health and Welfare Ashwaini Kumar Choubey’s family, Lieutenant Governor of Anil Minister of Health Baijal and Delhi Satyendar Jain was also present in other people, Dr.
Harsh Vardhan emphasized It is necessary to make malaria diseases that can be informed so that each and every case of malaria can be tracked and treated and transmissions can be identified.
This problem was taken with the Delhi government last year, the minister stated.
“Delhi initially planned to eliminate malaria in 2020.
The deadline has now shifted to 2022,” said the Minister, added that capturing the actual data from the hospital and taking precautions in the field of infection was very important to achieve elimination.
“So, whether regular reporting from the private sector is important to take precautionary measures on time and for the accuracy of data relating to the incidence of malaria,” Vardhan said.
The notification process is ongoing, an official said.
Notifications are needed to bring all cases of malaria to the radar of the country because after notification, private health facilities are mandated to report all malaria cases they treat with local health authorities.
LG stated that Delhi was unable to have an outbreak of malaria, dengue fever or chikungunya during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Three city corporations will pioneer actions to control vectors in their area,” he added.
