MotoGP announced on Thursday the Cancellation of the Malaysian Grand Prix for the second year in a row, due to the Pandemic Covid-19, and its replacement by other races at the Italian Misano Circuit on October 24.
Marco Simoncelli Circuit, Trek House, Big MotoGP Italy Great Valentino Rossi, has been scheduled to host the San Marino Grand Prix and Rimini Riviera on September 19.
“The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the entry restriction produced for Malaysia requires the cancellation of the event,” MotoGP said in a statement.
The second name in Misano has not been announced.
The circuit also held two rounds last year, with the second appointing Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The Japanese championship round, Australia and Thailand have been canceled because of the Finnish Grand Pandemic and Grand Prix that has been scheduled for last month.
