Nagpur: Disruption Disturbance Squad (NDS) from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has begun checking the mall and shops from Tuesday to check whether the owner and staff work after completing 14 days.
Post the second dose.
During the first visit, the warning was released and the action would be taken on the second.
NMC Commissioner of the additional city of Ram Joshi told TI that the NDS began with an inspection of the mall.
“Most of the staff at VR Mall, Empress Mall, Big Bazaar in Sitabuldi, Poonam Mall, Mall Central, Ginger Mall, Fortinal Mall and Vishal Mega Mart have not taken the second dose.
They are warned,” he said.
Joshi said several shops were also checked.
“Office, restaurants etc.
will be closed in a gradual way,” he said.
NMC held a meeting with Mall representatives on Tuesday.
“They said most of the staff had taken the first dose and were waiting for due dates after changing the rules.
I suggest that those who have not taken one single shot must get Covaxin or Sputnik V because of the gap between two less doses,” he said.
Joshi also said that direction had been given to all the malls not to allow staff who had not finished 14 days from the second dose.
“We must apply any direction that comes from the government.” The government has allowed almost all commercial activities and an increase of up to 10 nights of August 15 with motorists who must be vaccinated must complete 14 days from the second dose.
Apart from the new norm, there is no increase in the number of beneficiaries.
15,941 People took JAB in the city on Tuesday – 15,313 in NMC centers and 628 personally.
The level of inoculation is around 20,000-30,000 per day between June 23 (when vaccination is continued for the 18-44 year age group) and August 14, not including a few days.
NMC expects a number increase.
Meanwhile, the civil body has continued the inoculation of people in bed with 280 vaccinated until Tuesday.
The civil heads on Tuesday issued orders that allowed people under 18 years into the mall with evidence of age.
The government has relaxed new norms for under 18 years because they have not qualified for vaccination.
