Malls Down Shutters After 2-dose Fatwa

Mumbai: Two days after continuing the operation, most of the main malls in Mumbai fell leaves on Tuesday on their inability to obey the mandate to use staff who were fully vaccinated.
Many say that they have taken their signals earlier than the verbal instructions of BMC I S Chahal commissioners who are allowed to work, they have received at least one dose.
But with the August 16 notification the state said that all employees must complete 14 days after receiving a dose, the mall has decided to be closed for now.
Visitors were surprised to find inorbit and infiniti in the Malad Shut.
Growel’s 101 in Kandivli, R City in Ghatkopar and Phoenix in Parel Lower also closed on Tuesday.
In Thane, Viviana Mall and Corum Mall, remain operating.
In a statement, the Indian shopping center association said remembering restrictions, the mall would not be able to operate.
It will be at least a month (tentative September-end) before a large number of staff they get the second dose, vaccines are available available, he said.
Rajneesh Mahajan, CEO, INORBIT Malls India Pvt Ltd, said the association hoped certain relaxation.
“We started the mall away by the statement of the BMC Commissioner that one dose for staff would suffice and thus mobilize the workforce and conduct sanitary place.
The mall is a large infrastructure and everything needs to be booted again when starting after a few months.
We expect certain relaxation What did not happen, as in Government Notices August 16, which clearly said the two doses were mandatory.
We all want to comply with government regulations and therefore have decided to close again, “Mahajan said.
Sachin Dhanawade, COO, Retail & Real Estate, Grauer & Weil (India) Ltd., which operates Mall 1o1 Growel in Kandivli, said most of their staff are under 45 years old.
“Vaccination for under 45 years began in May in Maharashtra, which was immediately suspended due to lack of supply.
Furthermore, the central government also extended the gap between two doses for covishield.
Therefore most of the mall staff vaccinated partially (one dose), after taking a dose First of them in the last 30-45 days.
In this situation, as a large number of staff and employees do not qualify for their second dose, the mall will not be able to operate before the end of September, “he said.
The head of BMC I S Chahal late on Monday sent a notification repeating the rules of two doses.
“For now, we follow the government’s orders mandating two doses.
Meanwhile, we send recommendations to the government to allow the mall where the staff has taken a single dose of vaccines to operate.
The same thing will be discussed with members of the task force,” Chahal said.
Viren Shah, President of the Federation of the Welfare Association of retail traders, said forcing people to sit at home without working even though the first dose was unacceptable.
“If the gap for students traveling for studies can be reduced, why not for employees who need to make their income,” Shah said.
