Patna: Malna is the main cause of low immunity in children and malnutrition children are also susceptible to pneumonia, diarrhea, tuberculosis and other diseases.
The fact appears during a weekly review on the status of patients who visit Superspecialty Pediatric Clinics at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH).
The clinic was launched at the hospital last month.
Malnutrition, Pulmonary, Nephrology, Neurology, Cardiology and Endocrinology is a specialty that runs under this new clinic apart from the general function of the Pediatric Department.
“Malnutrition is the most common problem in urban and rural children and causes diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea and tuberculosis,” said Dr.
Binod Kumar Singh, supervisor-cum-head of the Pediatric Department of the NMCH Department.
The right homemade food, milk, green vegetables and fruits are natural immunity booster, said Dr.
Singh.
