Malta is set to legalize Cannabis for personal use

Valletta: Malta parliament is set to approve plans to legalize ownership and planting marijuana for personal use – the first in Europe, even though other countries tolerate it.
Adults will be permitted to have Cannabis up to 7GM and grow up to four plants at home for their personal use, under the law supported by the Labor Party PLI Robert Abela.
This law also allows the creation of a non-profit association which is regulated by up to 500 people to grow drugs for exclusive use of its members.
“We are legislary to overcome problems and take a danger reduction approach by regulating sectors so that people do not have to use the black market to buy Cannabis,” Abela said during the parliamentary debate last month.
He said he wanted to maintain a difficult attitude in the dealer but the parent of their child’s “trauma” reserve was arrested and transported to court on one joint.
This step came only a few weeks after Luxembourg announced a similar proposal.
Personal use and cannabis growth is also tolerable in Spain and in the Netherlands.
