New Delhi: At the first public address outside Bengal, because he defeated BJP to win the West Benggal Assembly election for the third term, the Head of Trinamool Congress Mamata Banerjee will speak to people throughout Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.
In Bengal too, the giant screen and TV set will play the address scheduled for 2 noon.
With the battle for Bengal which turned into a high-pitched Modi Versus Mamata (Banerjee) campaign, TMC’s biggest reach seemed to be planned for Gujarat, the home region of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Interior Minister Amit Shah.
“Of the 33 districts in Gujarat Didi (Banerjee) speeches will beam in 32 districts including in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Letters,” said TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy who will attend the program in Lucknow on Wednesday.
In the selection of polls, 25 places have been selected to install a giant screen for Banerjee Beam speech, most of which are in Lucknow, while the rest are in Varanasi, Bareilly and several other places.
The address of the Banerjee martyrdom day, is the biggest TMC annual political event that will be held virtually because of the Covid protocol this year, the same as what was done last year, when it was limited to Bengal.
July 21 was commemorated to remember 13 members of the Youth Congress who died in the police shootout while protesting in Kolkata in 1993, when Banerjee led the wing of the Congress Party’s youth.
Because he formed his own TMC in 1998, that day was observed as a martyr.
“Apart from remembering those killed, Banerjee’s speech is expected to think of anti-people’s policies from the Modi government at the Center,” Tweeted Roy.
In Delhi, other opposition party leaders are also expected to attend the program at the Constitutional Club on Wednesday afternoon.
TMC leaders beat Roy, who had crossed to BJP in 2017 and returned to the fold party after TMC’s victory in May will be present in Delhi for this program.
Former leader BJP Yashwant Sinha who also joined TMC recently expected to appear here.
By paying attention to the selection of Sabha scheduled 2024, Banerjee hopes to galvanize anti-BJP forces throughout the country, after his victory over BJP in a Bengal policy.
In most states, units or local supporters TMC has organized public filtration of Banerjee speech, said Roy.
