Kolkata: The Country Cabinet is a reshuffle on Tuesday because of the term of office of Minister of Finance Amit Mitra, who did not compete in the polls of the Assembly due to poor health, ended on Tuesday.
CM Mamata Banerjee appointed Chandrima Bhattacharya when MOS for Finance and CM will hold a financial portfolio.
Former Finance Minister Amit Mitra was appointed as an advisor to the Ministry of Finance.
Chandrima is now the Minister of Development Urban and also MOS for health together with the land and land reform department.
The new Panchayat Minister is Pulak Roy, who is currently the Minister of Public Health Engineering.
Thus, Roy has been given the Panchayat Department led by Subrata Mukherjee – who died in 4.
November before, Mukherjee was used to hold PHE and Panchayat, but then Roy was appointed in May.
The Minister of Consumer Affairs will be Manas Baunia which is currently the minister of water resources.
Sadhan Pande is a consumer affair along with a Swadaya group and entrepreneurial minister.
However, because of his illness, the Department was led by Subrata Mukherjee and will now be led by the world.
