Panaji / Vasco: Bengal Head Minister Mamata Banerjee landed in Goa on Thursday as part of his first visit to the state since TMC announced that he was fighting for the State Assembly selection of 2022.
During a three-day tour, Banerjee was expected to interact with the local party unit, member Communities and also interact with local politicians.
Banerjee was welcomed by the TMC national vice president and former Navelim Mla Luizinho Faleiro and MLA Independent from Sanguem Prasad Gaonkar, among others.
The Saffron Group, who was also present at the airport, stripped a black flag and raised the ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogan to protest the arrival of Banerjee.
The groups also violated Cordon police founded during protests.
Coinciding with the visit of Banerjee, hoarding ‘Jai Shree Ram’ has been placed in all the tourist states, reminiscent of similar slogans raised during bitter Bengal selection.

Banerjee will meet with a local TMC unit on Friday at the Goa International Center at 10 am after that he will go to Betim to meet with fishermen at 12 noon.
Post-Nooon, Head of Bengal Minister will visit several religious sites in Goa and then return to ICG for meetings with members of civil society.
TMC said that by damaging banners throughout the country, BJP has proven that legal and order situations in bad covers.
