New Delhi: The former leader of the Sushmita Dev congress, who joined TMC on Monday, said the head of the West Bengal Minister Mamata Banerjee had a “very good vision” for the future of the party and hoped he would be very helpful in that matter.
Dev, who is the head of the Congress women’s wing, joined TMC in front of the leader of the Senior Party Abhishek Banerjee and Derek O’Brien in Kolkata.
“We warmly welcome the former president of all India Mahila Congress Sushmita Dev to our Trinamool family,” said Trinamool Congress (TMC) in a tweet.
Former MP, Dev is the national spokesman for the old Grand Party and the Head of All India Mahila Congress.
He sent his resignation letter to the Chairman of Congress Sonia Gandhi, said the source, but did not offer reasons to stop.
