Midnapore / Hooghly: If the weather allows, the Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee will be on Tuesday visiting Ghatal, Midnapore Barat, which remains flooded even when the water surface has begun to recede in flood-hit areas such as Khanakul in Hooghly and Udaynarayanpur in Hooghly and Udaynarayanpur in Hooghly.
Banerjee is expected to visit the Jhargram on Monday to inaugurate a dairy adivating program at the local stadium.
He tends to hold a meeting with Western District officials Midnapore and Jharram, and then tour ghatal on Tuesday.
This will be his first visit to the districts after being sworn in as Bengal Cm for the third time in May 5.
Midnapore Barat DM Rashmi Kamal on Friday visiting Ghatal and holding meetings with officials on the distribution of assistance and compensation packages to lose life and property.
The State Irrigation Minister Soumen Mahapatra also held a meeting at the Midnapore Circuit House and previously provided a compensation check to Kin from several deceased.
So far, 18 people have died in Midnapore Barat, with Bappa Rao Khan 28 years old to become the last victim.

In Khanakul and Goghat Hooghly, the flood water level receded but the villagers faced the acute drinking water crisis.
District officials have requested the PHE department for water bags.
Communication is also a challenge with most of the roads still under water.
Army and NDRF, along with district officials, once again distributed dry quota in maroon areas in Khanakul.
The opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari is likely to visit the area on Saturday.
