Kolkata: About two months after their brief meeting in Kalaikunda snowballed to stand-off stand-off, Head of Minister of Mamata Banerjee will summon Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi’s residence on Tuesday.
Before that, Mamata would meet the leaders of congress Kamal Nath and Anand Sharma and later on that day, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who also happened to be a MP Rajya Sabha from Bengal.
CM also tends to call Congress President Sonia Gandhi before he returns to Kolkata on Friday.
According to sources, Mamata is likely to repeat several demands to Modi.
He has written several letters to PM, three related to the demand of the country for more vaccine allocations to fight potential third waves.
He will also increase the problem of funds because of the state.
The source, however, described it as a “courtesy meeting” because this was the first time Mamata was in Delhi after a Bengal policy.
The short meeting of Mamata with PM in Kalaikunda has pushed the center to publish the demands of the Central Deputation to the State Secretary, who accompanied CM, and when the State refused to release it, issue presentation and, after his retirement, started the department’s process.
Mamata went to Delhi after attending a special country cabinet meeting.
He did not talk to the media at Kolkata Airport.
CM also searched for an appointment with the president but since he was in Jammu and Kashmir, it was impossible.
According to the schedule, Mamata will meet with the MPS Party around 1pm on Wednesday.
Trinamool National Secretary General Abhishek Banerjee met with all MPS parties in Delhi on Monday.
