New Delhi: Minister of Bengal Bengala Barat Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and discussed the issue of BSF’s jurisdiction extension and demanded the withdrawal.
“I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today for a number of state-related problems.
We also talked about the issue of BSF’s jurisdiction extension and demanded that this decision be withdrawn,” said Mamata.
Previously, Mamata opposed the move in October he said that the West Bengal Government, such as the Punjab government, also protested the central decision to increase the search and capture BSF’s jurisdiction in countries.
He said law and order was the subject of the country and the border of West Bengal with Bangladesh was truly peaceful.
The head of the Trinamool Congress also spoke to PM Modi about Tripura’s violence.
Previously, Mamata described the situation in Tripura under the BJP government led by BIPLAB Deb as “terrible” and asked why the human rights commission “did not record the use of sustainable violence” in the northeastern state.
Speaking in the election of the Uttar Pradesh, Mamata said that he was ready to help the Head of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Singh if the need arose.
“If Akhilesh needs our help, we are ready to extend help,” he said.
West Bengal CM also invited PM Modi to inaugurate a global business meeting.
Meanwhile, Mamata said that he would meet Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Head of NCP Sharad Pawar during his visit to Mumbai on November 30-December 1.
Mamata is scheduled to be in the national capital until November 25.
His visit came a few days before the parliamentary winter session scheduled to begin on November 29.
