Kolkata: Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee can attend the meeting of opposition leaders in Delhi next week, the leaders of the Senior Trinamool Congress indicated on Thursday.
Sonia Gandhi’s president of Congress has invited CMS and other senior leaders for the meeting on August 20.
Banerjee previously said he would return to Delhi to attend the meeting of the opposition leaders who will be held after the Monsun Parliament session.
The development coincided with TMC chose to stay away from several opposition protests outside parliament, where the leader of the Congress Rahul Gandhi took the lead.
Asked about it, MP TMC Saugata Roy said, “Supremo Trinamool Congress has supported the need for all parties against BJP politics who divide and communal to unite.
TMC believes in the opposition union.
But it is not axiomatic that there will always be a shared approach, it will always be Based properly.
We have made our position clear inside and outside parliament.
“Trinamool stands with a different footing from another opposition party, Roy explained.
“TMC against Bengal’s poll, it defeated BJP alone, it runs the government (in Bengal) only.
In Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the coalition is in the government.
We have no compulsion of the coalition.
So, demonstrative, the party needs to be treated with respect.” Said Roy.
“We are for opposition association.
CM Banerjee has met Soniaji and Rahulji,” he added.
Emphasize that they need to be treated differently from others, Roy said, “Someone can’t suddenly call and ask us to attend the protest meeting.
We need to be informed beforehand to allow us to discuss our party supremo.” “Seven of Parliamentarians We have been suspended (in the Monsun session).
Our women’s parliamentarians physically stop entering the house.
Do we ask why other parliamentarians are not with them? “TMC MP said.
Previously, Trinamool had condemned the alleged blocking of the official Twitter account of Congress, questioning whether it was related to opposing BJP politics and policies.
“What happened @Twitter @Twitterindia @Jack What happened? We strongly condemned the blocking of the @inincindia account and senior leaders of the Congress Party,” TMC leader Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien tweeted.
Secretary General of Bengal Party, Kunal Ghosh, said it was a dangerous trend.
