Kolkata: Baral Bengal Head Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said that from now on will hold a review meeting on state health services every 15 days.
The meeting will be held at the State-Managed SSKM Hospital in Kolkata where he paid a surprise visit at night and talked with officials.
“In every 15 days, I will come here (SSKM Hospital) and monitor the health care system.
There are some problems at our State Hospital, which needs to be monitored and handled,” Banerjee said, who is also the Minister of State Health.
Banerjee said that the health secretary and sometimes the main secretary will also attend the meeting.
“I’ll come here again around 4pm next Thursday and monitor hospital problems for one hour or more,” he said.
Asked how many wounded legs had recovered, Banerjee said, “The doctors did MRI last week.
The part was still swollen.
It will take one and a half months to recover completely.” Banerjee was injured in the left foot when he fell on the ground which was allegedly after being driven by unknown criminals when campaigning for the election of the assembly in Nandigram on March 10.
A pine was registered at the Nandigram police station, but no one was arrested in this connection.
