Man, 38, sells two months son for RS 80,000 in Trichy

Trichy: The police arrested a 38-year-old man on charges of selling his two-month-old son for Rs 80,000 to a partner in Trichy.
The man decided to sell the boy to pay off his debt, police said.
Two people, including an agent, was also arrested by the police.
According to the police, Abdul Salam from Pandamangalam Timur in Woraiyur, and his wife Kairunisa, 30, has four children.
Greetings is a unemployed man and loses money in gambling and drinking.
Meanwhile, Kairunisa gave birth to a boy two months ago.
He filed a complaint to Woraiyur police against three people including her husband to sell her boy recently.
Based on complaints, the police registered the case and conducted an investigation.
Abdul Salam has borrowed around RS50,000 from Arockiajaj, 46, from the same area.
When greetings cannot pay money, Arockiaja makes an agreement with greetings that he will get more money besides settling his debt if he agrees to sell his baby.
Abdul Salam has appealed to Kairunisa to accept an agreement in vain.
However, he was forcibly took the baby and handed it to the relative arockiara of Santhanakumar.
The transaction occurred on January 19 and the boy was complaining to the police on January 23.
