MUMBAI: A 39-year-old guy died after a section of the ceiling of the home at Bhayander city nearby Mumbai collapsed and dropped him Monday.
This is the third episode of slab parts of aged and dilapidated buildings falling from the Mira-Bhayander area in under a month.
From the previous two episodes, there were not any injuries.
Komi Britto was in his own apartment, to the first floor of Rose Villa Apartment at Bakul Street, Bhayander (West).
The ceiling parts dropped on him he sustained serious head injuries.
He had been taken to hospital where he later succumbed.
The arrangement was a one.
On May 18, the first floor slab of a structure at Mahesh Nagar, Bhayander (West) came crashing back on the floor.
No one has been hurt from the incident.
On June 10, the fourth ground chimney of Sai Palace construction in Bhayander (East) dropped.
No casualties have been reported from the episode.
The two buildings are consumed for demolition.
