Coimbatore: Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has succeeded in carrying out complicated operations, which lasts more than five hours, in a 63-year-old man to remove a large ship tumor.

Krishnameorthy, a resident of Kovilmedu, has swelling and pain in the lower left abdomen for the past four years.
“While the pain has increased in the past year, he cannot visit the hospital because of the kuncian.” Krishnakeorthy approached Cmch last month and doctors diagnosed with aneurysms – blood vessel tumors.
“It was 18x10cm large and near the previous operated hernia area.

After taking control of blood vessels in the stomach and lower limbs, the doctor separates aneurysms without causing damage to the intestine and nerves.
“We ensure that the aneurisma does not break when releasing.
The legs of the broken arterial supply are also repaired,” he said.
The doctor said the patient had fully recovered.
The operation was carried out free of charge under a comprehensive Ministerial Health Insurance scheme.
The same procedure will cost RS5 Lakh at a private hospital, said K Rajesh who led the surgical team.
