Coimbatore: The east women police detained a 34-year-old construction employee on Monday for devoting his stepdaughter.The detained man was known as Prakash of Vannikonendal at Tirunelveli district.
“Prakash, a divorcee, frequently seen with his elder brother, who’s remaining in a village at Tenkasi and also a 34-year-old lady who had split from her husband.
She has two brothers aged 10 and eight.
He married the girl and proceeded with her daughters to a rented home in Ondipudur at Coimbatore town in February.
Prakash and the girl used to operate as building labourers.
He ceased running from April and mistreated the 10-year-old woman many times.
He threatened to kill his sister and mother when she disclosed the incident to anybody,” a police officer said.Unable to accept the kiss, the woman Sunday confided in her mom about her traumatic experience.
The girl approached the Singanallur authorities, who held a question and mailed them into the women police station (east) in Ramanathapuram.Inspector M Amutha filed an FIR from Prakash and detained him Monday.
He had been reserved under sections 376 (A) (B ) ) and 506 (iI) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 5(l) (m) and 6 ) of the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act 2012.
He was created before the court for Pocso Act and has been remanded in judicial custody.
