Salem: A 53-year-old man attacked his wife with an acid when he was waiting on the bus bus with his mother in Salem on Monday evening college and hospital for treatment with 70% of injured burns while his mother arrayi, 68, suffered burns at hand.
Krevathi was separated from her husband Yesudas, 53, a few months ago after a family dispute.
The couple has three children.
Monday, Revathi came to the All-Woman Town Salem police station with his mother for an investigation of complaints against her husband.
During the investigation, Revathi told the police that he was not interested in living with her husband.
After the question, Revathi came to the old bus with his mother to take a bus to Namakkal on the same night.
“Yesudas came there with a bottle of sour and threw it on Revathi,” said a female police officer.
Yesudas managed to escape from that place.
Other passengers waited for the bus to take Revathi to the Salem Government of Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital.
Police of Salem City has registered a case.
