Erode: A 51-year-old man was arrested for killing a cow, who accidentally bite Avuttukkai (the country-made bomb) he planted on the ground bordering Sathyamangalam tiger reserves to grab the wild boar.
Police officers said the cattle belonged to Madevappa M Madevappa 60 years, from Village Malhankzhi near Thalavadi.
He has taken three cows in the nearest grazing field on Friday.
“I heard the sound of blasting after one of my cows fell on the ground with a wound in his mouth,” Madevappa said.
He filed a complaint with police Thalavadi, who registered this case and began an investigation.
Preliminer Probe revealed that M Amalraj who was 51 years old, from the village of Mariapuram, has placed Avuttukkai in the grazing field.
“During the interrogation, he claimed to have a small wild animal hunt with Avüttukkai regularly.
We have seized such a bomb from his house and arrested him after registering a case against him,” said a police officer.
