Coimbatore: A 36-year-old man was arrested for transporting the wine who was scoring scoring into Tirupur from Sultanpet in Coimbatore on a motorbike.
Police Kamajagalpalayam in Tirupur district identified the defendant as S Sundhararaj, a resident of Periya Vadambachhery in Coimbatore.
Powerloom unit owner, he is YouTuber and works with radio stations in the past.
The official source said Police Sub-Inspector of Sulthanpet Kuppuraj and the team on Monday morning tried to capture Sundhararaj based on the tip that was illegally distilled by Arack in Periya Vadambachherry.
“However, he managed to escape from a motorcycle.” The team found 75 liters of fermented washing, three liters of wine, stove, and raw materials were displed illegally from a place adjacent to his house and arrested them.
Sulthanpet police also registered the first information report against Sundhararaj.
Meanwhile, Kamajencepalah police stopped Sundhararaj during a vehicle check on Jalan Kamajagalpalayam-Karadivavi in the afternoon and found six liters of the motorbike was displed.
“They then caught Sundhararaj and took his motorcycle,” said the source.
