A man has been detained in the city of Jabalpur Madesh Pradesh for allegedly making a bomb threat to Mumbai police, said an official here on Friday.
The call on Thursday night pushed the search in various places including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and the area near the house of actor Shah Rukh Khan here, but no suspicious was found.
The control room of the southern region of Police Mumbai received the call at 18.22 afternoon on Thursday, police official said.
The caller, who identified himself as ‘Jitesh Thakur’, claimed that he was from the army and there would be an attack in Mumbai with a “nuclear bomb” and bombing in places like CSMT, Kurla train station, close to the Shah Rukh Khan bungalow and near one Gurdwara in Kharghar in neighboring Navi Mumbai.
Detection of bombs and disposal squads and sniffer dog units comb all this place but no suspicious found, the official said.
The caller was tracked to Jabalpur, after the local police officer held him.
A government train police team (GRP) here has gone to MP to arrest him, added the official.
Commissioner GRP Quiser Khalid has tweeted at the beginning of the day when there was a call of threats about the bombing of the CSMT and Kurla station, but it turned out to be a trick.
