NEW DELHI:”A 34-year-old guy was detained for supposedly burgling over Rs 55 lakh after breaking into a financial institution in an adjoining under-construction construction in east Delhi’s Farsh Bazar region,” authorities said on Tuesday.
“Without understanding about the accused, the lender had previously entrusted him that the job of mending a gap in the walls within their assumptions he had himself penalized for committing the offense,” police said.
“The accused was wearing a helmet at the time of the burglary to conceal his identity,” he stated.
Police also stated that another individual was detained who received a certain sum of their stolen cash.
“The two detained men are recognized as Hariram and Kalicharan (39), both residents of Vishwas Nagar,” they stated.
“On Monday about 10.15 am, authorities received information about a burglary in a financial institution at Vishwas Nagar region.
Police inspected the place and discovered a gap was created at a wall of their host area of the lender from the adjoining under-construction construction.
Another gap in the walls of a powerful room in the cellar was created and money worth 55,03,330 was stolen in the vault,” a senior police officer stated.
“Through analysis, various teams have been formed for gathering data from regular traffic, guards, contractual personnel and some particulars of individuals who have entered from the locker area during the past six months,” police said.
“After assessing over 50 CCTVs, then 1 camera set near an ATM situated to a different under-construction construction was discovered facing upwards.
It had been discovered that the CCTV was tampered.

“He revealed he had intended for the cash heist for the past few months, but couldn’t take it up as a result of lockdown.
Hariram obtained access into this under-construction construction by eliminating the last lock replaced it with the other similar person,” Sathiyasundaram stated.
“When he got a chance, he entered within the under-construction construction, made little holes and a different one from the room.
He disclosed he wished to use the money for gaming activities,” police said.
“According to his inputs, money value Rs 54,48,730 was retrieved in a home in exactly the identical place where he had been employed as a protector and Rs 49,200 captured from co-accused Kalicharan, that Hariram had dropped to in gaming.
The rest of the money was spent with the duo,” police said.
A grinder, busted grinder hammer, chisel and helmet were recovered from Hariram’s ownership.
“Hariram is a trained building worker, and it has worked in local under building buildings during the past couple of decades.
He goes back on Madhya Pradesh and resides from the federal capital with his spouse and two kids.
Kalicharan includes a little company and can be involved with illegal gambling activities,” police included.
