Alwar: A 35-year-old man allegedly hacked his wife to death in Mileakpur Village in Alwar on Saturday night.
The defendant, Mushtaq, was detained by police Tapukara after his older son saw a blood sign at home on Sunday.
Police said the defendant suspected his wife Sahina (31) from the affair and attacked him with ax, resulting in his death soon.
Both have five children.
The defendant escaped from home immediately after the incident but was arrested by the police team before he could leave.
The alarm was heard by his older son who found blood on the floor of the house.
Initial investigations signal that crime occurred around Saturday night.
Deep wounds on the victim’s body indicated the brutality of the crime.
There was a sign of injury on his face.
He died at the place after the attack.
Sho Ramesh Chandra said family members had told them about the incident.
Police Alwar said a team was sent to the house and Sahina’s body shifted to the morgue for post-mortem.
The couple married about 15 years ago and often quarreled.
“We are examining all angles relating to this case.
The interrogation is ongoing and more detailed will be known only after we finish it.
But from what we have learned so far, the couple fights regularly.
On Saturday, the husband took ax and Kill his wife, “said an officer.
“Prima facie seems to have doubted his wife’s character and killed him with sharp objects,” the officer said.
The police said they were waiting for post-mortem reports and FIR would soon be submitted in this case.
Mushtaq’s relatives and his wife gathered outside the local hospital where the victim’s body was stored.
