Coimbatore: The rural authorities captured one litre spurious arrack by a 24-year-old guy on Sunday.
The detained individual was identified as Manikandan of Vadambacheri close Sulthanpet.
Kamanaickenpalayam sub-inspector Murugan and crew had raided his home after getting a tip-off.
Manikandan told authorities he purchased the arrack by someone in Vaikkalmedu near Odakkalpalayam due to his own usage.
Authorities have made a special group to nab the vendor.
Manikandan was reserved under Section 4 (1) (a) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.
He was let off conditional bail.
