Hyderabad: almost 13 years after the Ahmedabad series bomb blast, a special court in Gujarat on Tuesday released Raziuddin Nasir from Hyderabad in this case.
He was one of the 28 people who were released in the case of July 26, 2008, where 19 bombs rocked the city, killing 56 people throughout Ahmedabad.
Raziuddin Nasir, a resident of Saidabad, is the youngest son of Moulana Naseeruddin, former President of Wahdat-e-Islami, who died in 2020.
He may not be released from prison immediately because other criminal cases related to the alleged sowing are still delayed.
In 2008, the Branch of Police Crime Ahmedabad arrested Nasir with a claim that he was one of the members of the Indian Terror Clothing Mujahidin (IM), a radical faction of students banned by the Indian Islamic Movement (Simi), involved in the explosion.
In addition to murder, the efforts of criminal murder and conspiracy, he was slapped with allegations under the anti-terror law activities that violated the law (prevention) of ACT (UPA).
