Gurgaon: Two young men borne by a bicycle shot a man with a guarantee in the murder case in front of the Sheetla Gate Mandir on Friday morning.
The police said the duo arrived at the scooter, approached the man, shot him on his head in a point-blank range and escaped from the place.
Regions outside the temple are not borne by CCTV cameras.
ANU (19), a resident of Shivaji Nagar, was crowned as accused of last year’s murder case.
Anu, then a teenager, and his friends allegedly killed Manan Gujjar (28) on May 2020.
Anu came out of a correction house in Faridabad, where he had been put forward since the arrest a year ago, on a guarantee on August 22.
According to the police, Anu has gone to meet with his brother Manish, who works at a Prasad shop outside the temple, on Friday morning.
He stood in front of the main entrance of the temple when two masked young men in the scooter stopped across the street.
One of the people crossed, approached Anu, took out a gun and shot him.
When Anu fainted, the man ran to his accompany of his accompaniment to the scooter without resistance from the passing person, and the duo drove.
Sujit Kataria, who has shops in front of the temple, said he heard a voice and thought the tires had exploded.
“I went outside and saw a young man collapsing on the road,” Kataria said.
“Everything happens so fast that no one can know what’s happening.
There is no time to react,” Kataria added.
Anu allegedly killed Manan Gujjar at a mobile store on monetary disputes on May 28, 2020.
A few days later, Gurgaon police arrested three people – Bhanu, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, and Anu and his friend Manish, both residents of Shivaji Nagar – for crime.
During the trial in court, Shubham, a friend Manan who was a witness to his murder, turned into hostility.
Shubham deliberately changed the enemy in the case of Manan’s murder to ensure the release of Anu to the guarantee so he could kill him, a police officer said.
Based on complaint files by ANU brothers, a pine was registered against Shubham and other unknown people under Section 302 (murder) and 34 (general intentions) IPC and the relevant parts of the ARM acted at the Sector Police Station 5 on Friday.
ACP (crime) Preet Sangwan said: “We have identified the defendant and the raid is being carried out to arrest them,” he added.
