Kanpur: A man hacked his 23-year-old wife to death in the Bhognipur area at Kanpur Dayat and then went to the police station to claim to be crime on Tuesday night.
He told the police that he used to have an argument with his wife because he would often go to the mother’s place regularly.
Circle Officer, Bhognipur, Prabhat Kumar said that the incident was reported on Tuesday night when Ram Kumar, street vendors, and a resident of Majariya Umariya Village reached the police station and asked the police to visit his house where the Uma’s body lied.
He told the police that an argument broke between him and Uma.
“Ram Kumar said that he was not happy with his wife’s habits often visit Mother’s house.
He killed him using a shovel when he had hit him with bricks on the same dispute at night,” said CO.
When he fell unconscious, he dragged him to their room and he went to the police station.

Uma Chandrapal’s father, who also reached the place, told investigators that there was a program at his home where his daughter Uma also came.
Two days ago, Ramkumar had taken uma from his house.
“My daughter has been killed for dowry,” Chandrapal said.
Then, he filed a complaint accusing his son-in-law RAM Kumar, mother-in-law, father-in-law and other relatives involved in the murder of his daughter.
