Man killed the son, tried to commit suicide in Gurugram

Gurugram: A 35-year-old man allegedly poisoned his four-year-old son and then tried to commit suicide in a village in Gurugram in Haryana because he was annoyed at his wife, Eloping with another man, police said on Thursday.
The man, Rajesh Mittal from Judola Village, was undergoing hospital treatment and his condition was declared critical, they said.
On Wednesday night, while his older son, Mohit (10), was at a local shop, Mittal poisoned Bharat and then consumed the same thing to take his own life, the police said.
When Mohit returned home, he raised the alarm and reminded the neighbors, who took them to the hospital, police officials said, adding that Bharat was declared “taken dead”.
A pine was registered against Mittal under the IPC 302 section (killing) and 328 (causing injured by the average poison) at the Farrukhnagar police station based on complaints submitted by his sister.
The police said the Payal of the wife of Rajesh Mittal married to Monu a few days ago after a domestic dispute.
“We gave up the body to the family after post-mortem and was waiting for the statement accusing Rajesh Mittal.
The probe lights up, and the action will be taken according to the law,” said Inspector Sunil Kumar, Station House Officer Police Office Farrukhnagar.
