MUZAFFARNAGAR: A guy was detained in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district Wednesday two weeks after murdering his wife and seriously injuring his child for supposedly being served salad along with his meal, authorities said.
The accused, Murli Singh, has been captured by a police group after he was discovered hiding in a nearby jungle,” he said.
The killing happened during supper in the couple’s home in Gogwan Jalalpur village beneath Babri police station area on Monday night, authorities said.
Singh assaulted his spouse Sudesh using a scoop and his 20-year-old son Ajay, who sustained severe injuries since he attempted to save , he said.
The accused had escaped out of the place soon after the episode.
Police had registered a case under IPC Sections 302 and 307 from Singh, Station House Officer Nem Chand stated.
The couple’s child is recovering in hospital, authorities said.
