Karur: The Mahila Court on Friday gave a 25-year-old imprisonment to a man 61 years old after he was convicted of sexual accusations who harassed three small brothers in 2019.
The court also slapped the fine of Rs 1.6 lakh in prisoners.
The convicted is the native of Vengmedu in Karur Regency.
The victims aged 10, 12 and 13 were in the same location.
When they lost their father, their mother had cared for them.
The convicts are used to do puja in their homes and often invite girls to provide ‘pongal’ as prasadam.
In one example, he asked the girls to come one by one to get a pongal.
During that time, he was sexually harassed three girls separately.
When the mother came to know this, she filed a complaint to the Vengmedu Police in 2019.
Based on compliance, the police registered a case under various parts of the IPC including the Pocso Law and arrested him.
When hearing concluded, Mahila’s court judge said the assessment.
