IMPHAL: One man was shot dead allegedly by a team of the Assam Rifles at a village in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district, triggering a cop to storm a camp of this para-military drive in the region, authorities said Saturday.

The sufferer was fired in Chalwa village Friday night and that he listened to his injuries about a hospital at state capital Imphal ancient Saturday, Superintendent of Police P Goulungmuon Singsit stated.
It’s not clear what caused by this episode in town.
The SP told PTI that after the shooting event, a team of villagers attained the native Assam Rifles camp and also required the push on the accused .
The situation was stressed in the region until Saturday morning however the authorities brought the situation in check, Singsit stated.
A case has been registered in this respect at Kangpokpi police channel.
The Assam Rifles spokesperson couldn’t be reached for comment.
The para-military induce employees has been set up in Manipur to assist the state management in counter-insurgency functioning.
