Gurgaon: A dairy owner was robbed of Rs 2.58 lakh at gunpoint by three men who offered him a lift from Rajiv Chowk on Monday.
The dairy owner was on his way to Rajasthan to pay the cost of the cattle he had recently purchased.
Harun Qureshi (55), a resident of Sector 11 had to travel to Kotputli in Rajasthan to make payment to a cattle dealer.
He went to Rajiv Chowk on Monday to board a bus around 6.30am.
Qureshi was waiting for the bus when a white car approached him and the driver asked him about his destination and offered to drop him.
Four people, including the driver, were already inside the cab.
After travelling for a few minutes the cab driver took a u-turn from Kherki Daula.
“When I asked the driver to stop, one of the people sitting in the back seat pulled out a gun and another person started to beat me,” said Qureshi, adding that the accused snatched Rs 2.58 lakh cash, his mobile phone and other belongings and dumped him at an isolated place on Hero Honda Chowk flyover.
