New Delhi: A 40-year-old man who came out with parole, was arrested for allegedly stabbing his brother’s wife in Burari North Delhi, police said on Friday.
The defendant has been identified as a narender, residents of Sant Nagar in Burari, they said.
On Tuesday, the police received information from the civil line trauma center which was recognized by a 33-year-old woman there with a piercing injury, police said.
The police reached the hospital and found that the woman then shifted to the LNJP hospital for further treatment, they said.
Lokesh’s brother, Panipat residents in Haryana, also reached the hospital.
Lokesh said that he was in Panipat when he learned that his sister was stabbed by Narender, a senior police officer said.
In the Lokesh statement, a case was registered under the IPC 307 section (trying to murder) at the Burari Police Station, he said.
Then, narender was arrested from the Old Delhi train station, the officer said.
The accusation told the police that the woman spoke on the phone with other people who followed any argument between them and she stabbed it.
However, this problem is being investigated and the claim is verified.
The victim’s husband was on duty when the incident happened, they said.
Narender was accused of a murder case in 2019.
He was released by parole on May 28 and is scheduled to surrender on September 24, added the police.
