Jaipur: A 30-year-old man in the village of Kaladera Jaipur was tricked by Rs 5 Lakh after the gang promised a rare owl but instead gave him a small pigeon in a towel covered.

According to Govindgarh Dsp Sandeep Sarswat, Kumar happily returned after the purchase when he stopped near the salon.
“The owner of the salon asked Kumar to lift the cloth from a owl because he wanted to see a rare bird.
When he took off the cloth, he found that there were no owls, but Merpati,” said Sarswat, added that Kumar quickly rushed to the police station and filed a complaint .
“The complainant claimed that he had given Rs 5 Lakh to someone who promised an owl that could be sold on the market for Rs 90 lakh.
He was happy to offer it and pay the money,” Sarswat said, adding that the FIR was registered and the police team fanted to track Cheat.
Police on Tuesday arrested two people identified as Saryar Mall (21) and Bhanwar, aka Raju Bawariya (30).
“Gang has a simple modus operandi.
They deceive people who don’t suspect to believe that good owls can be sold to the gray market for as high as Rs 90 lakh.
They then handed the birds covered with fabric for victims,” said Sarswat Toi .
The police said the investigation was underway to check whether the gang had other members involved in the same criminal case.
This is the second incident of the trade of owls in a week in Jaipur.
