Coimbatore: Unknown people entered two cellular stores in Gandhipuram here on Monday night and made of Rs 20.5 lakh, cellphones and laptops.
City police have formed four special teams to arrest the culprit.
According to an investigation officer, the shops were run by Pratap and Durgaram, both natives from Rajasthan.
Shops – Ambay and Ganapathy Mobiles – functions in the commercial complex on the 8th road of Gandhipuram.
“After completing sales, both of them closed the shops around 10:30 on Monday and went to their home.
When they returned on Tuesday morning, they found that the key to the steel window was broken open.
Pratap checked the store (Ambay) and found the hospital 20 lakh, new cellphones and laptops are stolen.
Durgaram, who runs the cellphone ganapati, loses only Rs 50,000, “the officer said.
When being warned, the investigation of Shanthi’s Kattoor Wing Inspectors and the team visited the crime scene and collected CCTV snippets from the store.
“CCTV cameras have captured a picture of thieves, whose identity has not been ascertained.
Forensic experts have raised several fingerprints from crime scenes.
