Coimbatore: A 33-year-old man has been arrested for persecuting a class X class students near Chanma Nagar in the city.
East All-Woman police identified the defendant as R Moory, a resident of K Vadamadurai near Thudiangur.
A police officer said Moory first persecuted the 15-year-old girl, whose relatives were two months ago.
“He saw him watching the video on his cellphone and then persecuted the girl twice threatening to tell his parents that he watched a obscene video.
He has warned him not to reveal the incident to anyone,” the officer said.
Moory, the officer said, had gone to his house two days ago and persecuted the girl again after sending her sister to buy a cricket ball.
This time, the officer said, the girl told her parents about the incident.
On Monday, his parents filed a complaint with the East All-Woman police, which registered a case against laps under the 9 protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) acted and arrested him.
He was then produced in front of a special court for Pocso cases and nested in prison under Yudicial resistance.
