Mumbai: A 33-year-old man has approached Charkop police with complaints to receive a vaccine certificate through the Cowin platform even though he did not take an injection.
Nilesh Mestri has taken an appointment with Cowin but cannot go to the hospital because of work commitments.
He is now worried that he will miss his vaccine shot at all because the certificate has been produced.
Charkop police have called hospital management for investigations.
Mestri, a Virar, found a slot in Cowin at the Chavan Hospital in Dahukarukhadi, West Kandivali, for July 15.
“I missed an appointment but the certificate was generated online,” Mestri told Toi.
“If Mestri does not visit the hospital, how does the details appear on the vaccine certificate? There must be a comprehensive investigation,” said the MNS Dinesh Salvi party worker, who helped him submit a written complaint.
The police have not registered fir.
“The hospital replied that they were busy with vaccinating the doorway and will appear afterwards,” said a senior police officer.
The effort to contact the hospital proved futile.
