Coimbatore: Police All-Woman Polachi arrested a 60-year-old man on Monday night because he tried to rape a woman with difficulty learning on Sunday.
PPirice identified the defendant as Murugan, from a village near the Pollachi.
The woman’s parents left her at her sister’s residence two days ago.
On Sunday night, sister did not find it at home and began looking for it in the nearest area.
“When he found it at Murugan’s house, he tried to rape him.
Immediately, he raised an alarm.
However, Murugan managed to escape from the place,” said a police officer.
Based on complaints, the police registered the case and arrested Murugan on Monday night.
In another incident, the All-Woman Thudiangur police arrested a 48-year-old man from Mettupalayam because of persecuting a little girl.
The police said the girl was separated from her husband and run a small shop.
The 11-year-old girl was alone at her residence.
The defendant, his uncle, was used to visit the girl’s house.
He persecuted the girl 10 days ago and threatened him not to reveal it to anyone.
However, the little girl told her mother on Monday and she filed a complaint to the police, who registered the case and arrested the man.
