Lucknow: A 50-year-old man stab his first wife to death in full public view and then gave up at the police station while holding a blood-stained knife in his hand.
ADCP, North Prachi Singh said that the incident took place in the Jagrani crossing the Vikas Nagar police station but the defendant then gave up at the Gudamba police station.
The deceased was identified as Gulshan Khatoon from the Phoolwariya Gopalganj police station in Bihar.
The husband, accused of being identified as Shakil Ansari, was also the Phulwaria police station in Gopalganj at Bihar.
They live in the Sahitapur area under the Gudamba Police Station area in Lucknow.
Shakil has another wife named Laila.
“Shakil and Gulshan were a few years ago.
The case against Shakil was waiting at the police station in Bihar and he spent a month prison before being released with a guarantee,” Singh said.
He said the defendant appeared at the police station himself.
“Shakil surrendered at the police station a little later after carrying out a crime.
He also held a knife with what he killed Gulshan at around 2.50 in the afternoon,” he said in bytes.
ADCP says the couple has a difference in personal problems.
“The accusation claimed before the police that he had a dispute with Gulshan for the domestic problem because he killed him,” ADCP said.
“The defendant escaped from the scene after attacking the victim.
A commuter rushed to be a victim to a private hospital where he was declared dead,” he said.
