MANCHESTER (UK): Manchester United have agreed to an agreement to sign back Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, the Premier League club announced on Friday, with transfers subject to personal requirements, visa and medical requirements.
Portugal Forward was returned to the club where he won eight main trophies from 2003-2009.
The financial details were not disclosed but British and Italian media said United would buy Ronaldo for 25 million euros on a two-year agreement.
Ronaldo, signed by Juve in 2018 at a price of 100 million euros ($ 117.90 million) from Real Madrid in the hope of leading them to the Champions League title that is difficult to understand, will leave the club with 101 goals, two league crowns and Coppa Italia.
The 36-year-old won Ballon d’Or as the best player in the world in 2008 at United with his very high team, before sealing a world record then 80 million pounds moved to Madrid.
After notifying Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri on Thursday his desire to leave Turin, a widespread media report claiming Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendah has agreed to personal requirements with the Premier League champions Manchester City.
But after the city was said to have a change of heart over the agreement, Rivals United received the agreed transfer.
