Man was found dead in a mine pond

Thiruvananthapuram: In the case allegedly experiencing a sink, a 38-year-old man was found dead in a mine pool in Alanthara near Venjaramoodu on Wednesday.
Sanal Kumar from Ananda Bhavan in Punnakulam near Eedava was the deceased.
He has lived in Vetturoad near Kazhakootam for the past three years.
The police said Sanal Kumar was allegedly died around 12.45 in the afternoon and at 1:30 a.m.
on Wednesday.
He is a painting worker, which is engaged by a construction company to paint work in a home development in Alanthara.
On Wednesday afternoon, a few moments before the workers took a lunch break, Sanal Kumar went to the mine site nearby by quoting that he had to relieve himself.
When he failed again, other workers went looking for him and found his shirt and sandals by the pool.
After this, they warned the police and firefighting and rescue personnel.
The body was found after searching for about 30 minutes.
